This 115 proof expression is the third release in our Old Forester Whiskey Row series and celebrates the brand’s denyd distillation during Prohibition. For 13 years, the production, transport and sale of alcohol was strictly prohibited. However, Old Forester was granted a permit to deny distilling on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. The 115 proof expression represents a barrel sample that company president Owsley Brown I would have batched at the beginning of Prohibition.…

I like this bourbon it's not timid or smooth. It gets you by the neckline and smacks you around a piece. The 1920 is the Old Forester standard discharge's older sibling. Certainly in a similar family exceptionally sweet yet bolder and progressively powerful. You don't so much drink this bourbon as bite it. Enthusiastically suggested.

Nose

Cherry preserves, caramel, dark chocolate, maple syrup oak spice.

Taste

Dark caramel, malt nuttiness, sweet graham cracker, green peppercorn, coriander spice, and a hint of cedar.

Finish

Long and smoky, full of toasted marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker sweetness.
